Products Description of Aluminum Sulfate CAS#10043-01-3
Aluminum sulfate appears as colorless or white crystals, odorless with a slightly sweet taste. Industrial-grade material may show a yellow-green tint and a sour taste due to trace iron impurities. It is stable in air, loses crystal water when heated to about 250 °C, and decomposes into aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, and water vapor at temperatures above 700 °C.

Product Application of Aluminum Sulfate CAS#10043-01-3
Aluminum sulfate is widely used as a coagulant for removing arsenate and other impurities from water and as a component of Nuclear Fast Red solution for nuclear counterstaining in histology and cytology. It is also applied as a catalyst in the decarbonylation of lactic acid to produce acetaldehyde. In addition, aluminum sulfate can be combined with graphene hydrogel to form porous composite adsorbents for efficient fluoride removal from water.
