Aluminum Sulfate CAS#10043-01-3
Pure and Stable: The product is typically colorless or white with no odor, ensuring a clean, neutral profile in various applications.
Heat-Resistant: It remains stable in the air and can withstand heating up to 250°C without losing its integrity, making it suitable for high-temperature processes.
Decomposition Resistance: When heated above 700°C, the product decomposes into aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, and water vapor, showing its high thermal stability under extreme conditions.
Versatile for Industrial Use: Though industrial variants may have a yellowish-green color and a sour taste due to impurities like iron, the product still maintains its usability across a range of industrial applications
Product Description of Aluminum Sulfate CAS# 10043-01-3
Aluminum sulfate typically appears as colorless or white crystals and is odorless with a faint candy-like taste. Industrial-grade aluminum sulfate may have a yellowish-green color and a sour taste due to the presence of impurities like iron. The compound is stable in air and loses its crystal water when heated to 250°C. Upon heating to temperatures above 700°C, it begins to decompose into aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, and water vapor.

Product Application of Aluminum Sulfate CAS# 10043-01-3
Aluminum sulfate is a key component in the Nuclear Fast Red solution, used for red nuclear counterstaining in histology and cytology protocols. It is also employed as a coagulant for the removal of arsenate from water.
In addition, aluminum sulfate serves as a catalyst in the conversion of lactic acid to acetaldehyde via decarbonylation. Furthermore, it can be utilized to form a porous composite adsorbent with graphene hydrogel, which is effective for fluoride removal from water.
