Product Application of Potassium Carbonate CAS#584-08-7
Potassium carbonate is used in the production of optical glass, enhancing the material’s transparency, strength, and refractive index. It can also serve as a coating for welding rods to prevent arc interruptions during welding. Additional applications include its use in VAT dyes, as a de-whitening agent in ice dyeing, and as an absorbent for removing carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. It can also be combined with soda ash to manufacture dry powder fire extinguishing agents.
