Product Description of Trehalose CAS#99-20-7
Trehalose is a white crystalline powder with a purity of ≥99%. It is odorless with a mildly sweet taste. The anhydrous form has a melting point of 203–205 °C and decomposes upon further heating. It has negligible vapor pressure at 25 °C and a relative density of 1.51 at 20 °C.
Trehalose is highly soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in ether and benzene. It is chemically stable under normal conditions but may be incompatible with strong acids at elevated temperatures and certain enzymes.
