Product Application of Triphenylphosphine CAS#603-35-0

Triphenylphosphine can be initially sulfonated with oleum to produce the corresponding trisulfonic acid. It is widely applied in Wittig reactions and serves as a standard ligand in homogeneous catalytic systems.

It is also used for the preparation of organophosphorus intermediates, such as trimethyl phosphite via transesterification, which can subsequently be converted into various organophosphorus pesticides including dichlorvos, monocrotophos, and phosphamidon.

Additionally, triphenylphosphine functions as a stabilizer in rubber and resin production, an antioxidant in polyvinyl chloride formulations, and a raw material for the synthesis of alkyd and polyester resins.
