Product Details
Sucralose CAS#56038-13-2
Sucralose is the only zero-calorie sweetener produced from sugar. It is one of the most recently approved non-nutritive sweeteners by the U.S. FDA and other international regulatory authorities and is now widely used in the market.
Sucralose is manufactured from sugar through a patented multi-step process in which three hydroxyl groups on the sugar molecule are selectively replaced with chlorine atoms. This modification creates a sweetener with no calories and extremely high sweetness—about 600 times sweeter than sucrose, twice as sweet as saccharin, and four times sweeter than aspartame.

Product Applications of Sucralose CAS#56038-13-2
Sucralose is a non-nutritive sweetener derived from sucrose through selective chlorination. The modified glycosidic structure is resistant to acid and enzymatic hydrolysis, allowing it to remain unmetabolized in the body. It provides 400 to 800 times the sweetness of sucrose, dissolves easily in water, and remains stable under high temperatures, making it suitable for baked and fried food products.
Sucralose is manufactured using a patented process developed by Tate & Lyle, in which three hydroxyl groups in the sucrose molecule are replaced with chlorine atoms. The resulting sweetener is minimally absorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged. It has been approved for use in food and beverages in the United States since 1999.
