Product Application of β-Estradiol CAS#50-28-2
Estradiol is used as an estrogen medication for the treatment of functional uterine bleeding, primary amenorrhea, menopausal syndrome, and prostate cancer. It helps promote and regulate the normal development of female reproductive organs and secondary sexual characteristics. It can also stimulate the growth and proliferation of mammary ducts; however, at high doses, it may inhibit prolactin release from the anterior pituitary gland, thereby reducing milk secretion, and is also used to suppress lactation.
Potential adverse effects include nausea, vomiting, and bleeding caused by excessive endometrial proliferation. It should be used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment and must not be applied to the breast, vulva, or vaginal mucosa.
