Sodium Tungstate Dihydrate CAS#10213-10-2
Excellent Water Solubility – Highly soluble in water (about 74.2 g/100 mL at 25°C), allowing for easy dissolution and efficient use in aqueous systems.
Stable Under Normal Conditions – Remains stable at ambient temperature and pressure, ensuring reliable storage and handling performance.
Mild Alkalinity for Versatile Applications – Forms a weakly alkaline aqueous solution, making it suitable for applications requiring controlled pH conditions.
Predictable Chemical Reactivity – Reacts selectively with strong acids to form tungstic acid precipitates, enabling controlled chemical processing and purification steps.
Products Description of Sodium Tungstate Dihydrate CAS#10213-10-2
Sodium tungstate dihydrate appears as a white crystalline powder or colorless to white rhombic crystals and is highly soluble in water. At 25°C, its solubility in water is approximately 74.2 g/100 mL, and the resulting aqueous solution is weakly alkaline. It is insoluble in ethanol and only slightly soluble in ammonia. The compound is stable under normal temperature and pressure, but gradually loses its crystalline water when heated. It reacts with strong acids to form tungstic acid precipitates.
