Chloramine B CAS#127-52-6

Chloramine B is an organochlorine disinfectant with an available chlorine content of 26–28%. It is chemically stable, with only about 0.1% loss of available chlorine after being stored in airtight conditions for one year.

It is slightly soluble in water and has relatively low irritation and corrosiveness. However, its disinfecting action is slower compared with hypochlorous acid.

Chloramine B is mainly used for disinfecting drinking water containers, various types of tableware, fruits and vegetables (5 ppm), aquaculture water, and enamel instruments (1%). It can also be applied for cleaning cattle udders, milk cups, livestock urinary tracts, and suppurating wounds, among other uses.
