Product Description of Polyethylene Glycol (CAS No. 25322-68-3)

Polyethylene Glycol is a high-purity industrial product with a minimum content of 99%. It is supplied in different grades, with AEO3 appearing as a colorless liquid and AEO9 as a white paste, both having a slight fatty odor and functioning as nonionic surfactants.

AEO3 has a melting point of 5–6 °C, while the boiling point of the product is approximately 290 °C. At 25 °C, it shows a vapor pressure below 0.1 hPa and a relative density of 0.925–0.940, indicating low volatility and stable physical properties.

In terms of solubility, AEO3 is dispersible in water and AEO9 is readily soluble in water. The product dissolves well in ethanol but is insoluble in kerosene. Under normal conditions it remains stable, though it should be avoided in contact with strong acids at elevated temperatures.
