Aluminum Sulfate CAS#10043-01-3
Appearance: The product is typically colorless or white crystals, odorless with a barely sweet taste. Industrial-grade versions, due to the presence of iron and other elements, appear yellowish-green with a sour taste.
Stability: The product is stable in the air under normal conditions.
Thermal Properties: When heated to 250°C, it loses its crystal water. At temperatures above 700°C, the product starts to decompose into aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, and water vapor.
Decomposition Characteristics: The decomposition begins above 700°C, resulting in the formation of aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, and water vapor.
Product Description of Aluminum Sulfate (CAS# 10043-01-3)
Aluminum sulfate appears as colorless or white crystals, odorless with a slight candy-like taste. The industrial-grade product, due to the presence of impurities such as iron, may have a yellowish-green appearance and a sour taste. It is stable in the air under normal conditions. When heated to 250°C, it loses its crystal water. Upon heating above 700°C, it begins to decompose into aluminum oxide, sulfur trioxide, and water vapor.

Product Application of Aluminum Sulfate (CAS# 10043-01-3)
Aluminum sulfate is a key component in the Nuclear Fast Red solution, used for counterstaining in histology and cytology procedures. It also serves as a coagulant for the removal of arsenates from water.
In addition, aluminum sulfate can act as a catalyst in the conversion of lactic acid to acetaldehyde via decarbonylation.
Moreover, it can be used to create a porous composite adsorbent when combined with graphene hydrogel, which is effective for the removal of fluoride from water.
