Products Description of Thiamine Chloride CAS#59-43-8

Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine, is an essential B vitamin. It supports normal carbohydrate metabolism and is crucial for maintaining proper nerve conduction, as well as healthy heart and gastrointestinal functions.

Vitamin B1 combines with adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to form thiamine pyrophosphate (thiamine diphosphate, also called coacidase), a coenzyme vital for carbohydrate metabolism. A deficiency of this coenzyme disrupts oxidative metabolism, leading to the accumulation of pyruvate and lactic acid and impairing the body’s energy supply.

Additionally, vitamin B1 regulates cholinesterase activity. When deficient, cholinesterase activity increases, accelerating acetylcholine breakdown, which can cause nerve impulse conduction disorders and negatively affect gastrointestinal and cardiac function.

Product Application of Thiamine Chloride CAS#59-43-8

Vitamin B1, a member of the B vitamin family, is primarily used to prevent and treat vitamin B1 deficiency and related conditions such as beriberi and Wernicke’s encephalopathy. It also serves as an adjunct therapy for peripheral neuritis, myocarditis, indigestion, and congestive heart failure.

Vitamin B1 supplementation is recommended for individuals with burns, fever, long-term chronic infections, malabsorption syndromes, or hepatobiliary diseases (e.g., alcoholism with cirrhosis), small intestinal disorders (e.g., celiac disease, persistent diarrhea), and post-gastrectomy patients. It is also beneficial for those with hyperthyroidism, undergoing hemodialysis, experiencing malnutrition from prolonged parenteral nutrition or insufficient dietary intake, heavy manual laborers, and pregnant or lactating women.
