Product Details

Product Description of Yttrium Oxide CAS#1314-36-9

Yttrium oxide is supplied as a white powder or as sintered tablets and pieces with a typical purity of 99.9%. It exhibits a body-centered cubic (bcc) crystal structure and readily absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The material has an enthalpy of fusion of 105.00 kJ/mol. Yttrium oxide is commonly fabricated into crucibles for experimental and specialized melting applications. Sintered forms are also used as evaporation materials in the production of hard film dielectric coatings and thin-film capacitors. In addition, high-purity grades (99.9%, 99.99%, and 99.999%) are widely employed as sputtering targets for the deposition of hard films, dielectric layers, and thin-film capacitor components.

Product Application of Yttrium Oxide CAS#1314-36-9

Yttrium oxide serves as an effective mineralizing agent in spinel formation and is widely used as a fundamental raw material in materials science and inorganic compound synthesis. It enables the formation of uniform, thin, and protective yttrium oxide coatings capable of withstanding high temperatures. The product is also utilized in the production of yttrium–iron garnets, which function as highly efficient microwave filters. In addition, lower-purity grades of yttrium oxide are extensively applied in the manufacture of electronic ceramics.
