Product Description of Gadolinium Oxide CAS#12064-62-9
Gadolinium oxide (Gd₂O₃) is a common oxide form of the rare earth element gadolinium. Its EDTA complexes are used as MRI contrast agents to improve imaging clarity. The material is widely applied as a raw material for fluorescent compounds, nuclear fuels, magnetic materials, and screen sensitivity enhancers.
With high thermal stability and low solubility, gadolinium oxide is suitable for glass, optical materials, ceramics, and filament coatings. It is also used in electronics such as lasers and telecommunication devices, in nuclear reactors for neutron absorption and reactivity control, and as a catalyst in chemical processes.

Product Application of Gadolinium Oxide CAS#12064-62-9
Gadolinium oxide, also known as gadolinia, is widely used in the manufacture of optical glass and gadolinium–yttrium garnets for microwave-related applications. High-purity grades are applied in the production of phosphors for color television tubes. In addition, gadolinium oxide is utilized in the form of gadolinium-doped ceria to produce electrolytes with high ionic conductivity and low operating temperatures, making them suitable for cost-effective fuel cell manufacturing. As one of the most common oxide forms of the rare earth element gadolinium, its derivatives are also used as potential contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
