Product Application of Aluminum Potassium Sulfate Dodecahydrate CAS#7784-24-9
Aluminum potassium sulfate dodecahydrate is a white, water-soluble crystal produced by roasting alunite in a furnace and collecting the product through crystallization. It has been used in photographic processes to harden gelatin emulsions by introduction, by bathing exposed plates before development, or in the fixing bath.
Additionally, when combined with citric or other acids, it serves as a clearing bath to remove developer stains from negatives.
