Product Details

Fumaric Acid CAS#110-17-8

Fumaric acid is a pivotal organic chemical raw material and intermediate for fine chemical products. It also serves as a key derivative of maleic anhydride, with broad applications across industries such as food, coatings, resins, and plasticizers.

In the food sector, fumaric acid functions as an effective souring agent, suitable for use in soft drinks, western-style wine, cold beverages, fruit juice concentrates, canned fruit, pickles, and ice cream. Additionally, as an acidic gas production agent in solid beverages, it delivers exceptional bubble durability while maintaining a delicate product texture.

Product Application of Fumaric Acid CAS#110-17-8

Fumaric acid is a non-hygroscopic, strong acidulant with limited solubility in water (0.63 g per 100 ml distilled water at 25°C). While it dissolves slowly in cold water, its solubility can be enhanced by combining it with dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate or reducing its particle size.

A key advantage of fumaric acid is its cost-effective efficiency: 0.317 kg of fumaric acid can functionally replace 0.453 kg of citric acid in formulations.
