2-Amino-6-chlorobenzoic Acid CAS#2148-56-3
A. In a reaction vessel equipped with an agitator, thermometer, reflux condenser, and dropping funnel, cerium chloride (0.16 mol), a 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzene ethanol solution (0.19 mol), and 400–500 mL of Klorvess liquid are added. The stirring speed is controlled at 160–190 rpm while the reaction temperature is raised to 60–65°C. A solution of 2-chloro-6-nitrobenzoic acid (0.13 mol) and 200 mL of potassium bisulfite solution is then slowly added. The stirring speed is increased to 260–310 rpm, followed by reflux reaction for 5–7 hours.
B. After the reaction, the solution temperature is reduced to 15–19°C to precipitate the solid product, which is then filtered. Diammonium hydrogen citrate solution (150–180 mL) is added to the filtrate, and the mixture is concentrated under reduced pressure to precipitate additional solids. The resulting product is filtered, dehydrated using a drying agent, washed with brine and pyridine solution, and recrystallized from ethyl acetate to obtain crystalline 2-amino-6-chlorobenzoic acid (C7H6ClNO2).
