Product Application of Rifampicin CAS#13292-46-1
Rifampicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with antibacterial and bactericidal activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Gram-positive bacteria, and certain Gram-negative bacteria.
It is primarily used in the treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis infections and drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections, and also shows therapeutic value in the treatment of leprosy.
As a cell-penetrating, full-spectrum bactericidal agent, rifampicin exhibits strong bactericidal potency, particularly against mycobacteria as well as Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
In addition to direct pharmaceutical use, it is also applied as a pharmaceutical intermediate with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, demonstrating excellent efficacy against Gram-positive cocci and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Its antibacterial spectrum remains consistent with that of rifampicin.
