Loratadine CAS#79794-75-5
Fast-acting and long-lasting relief – Loratadine provides rapid onset of action with prolonged antihistamine effects, ensuring sustained symptom control.
Non-sedating and hormone-free – As a second-generation antihistamine, it does not contain hormones and has no significant central nervous system inhibitory effects.
Effective allergy symptom control – It relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal itching, as well as eye irritation and skin allergies like urticaria.
Safe and well-tolerated – Lacks significant anticholinergic effects, and toxicological studies show no mutagenic or teratogenic risks in animals.
Product Description of Loratadine CAS#79794-75-5
Loratadine is a widely used antiallergic medication belonging to the second-generation, long-acting tricyclic antihistamines. It features a rapid onset of action, strong efficacy, and is hormone-free. After absorption in the body, it is metabolized into the more active compound desloratadine.
Loratadine works by competitively blocking histamine H1 receptors, thereby reducing allergic symptoms caused by histamine. It does not exhibit significant anticholinergic or central nervous system depressant effects. Clinically, it is used to relieve symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal itching, as well as eye itching and burning sensations. It is also effective in alleviating symptoms of chronic urticaria and other allergic skin conditions.
Toxicological studies indicate that it does not show mutagenic or teratogenic effects in animal tests.
